I really thought Hawkins had it this time at 5-0, but I don't know why, as Hawkins plays deciders in about 90% of his matches. It just had to go all the way.
I think this is the first time since I've been watching snooker that someone has completed a comeback from 5-0 down in a best-of-11, at least in the televised matches. Matthew Stevens came from 5-0 down against Hendry in the Masters a couple of years ago, but he lost the decider. I can't think of any others.

First from 5-0 for me also but Hawkins lost in similar fashion to Walden at the masters and he played some terrible shots that night towards the end.
Best two pound I ever spent anyway , made up for Selby loosing my accumulator today by a long way.
Let's hope Ronnie can play tomorrow now.

Hi everyone,
though I've been following snooker for quite some years now, I've only recently found this forum and it's time for my first post.
What happened to Hawkins yesterday? I called it a night at 5:0 as I was sure it's just a matter of time for Barry to finish it off? Anyways, congrats to Bond for the win and cebs for the bet!

Hawkins failed to finish it off at 5-0 up and Bond kept on digging in and pulling back frame after frame...and slowly but surely he made it back to 5-5. Hawkins kept making too many mistakes and gave Bond chances...which he managed to take, so very well done to Nigel. A very good win for him.

So Neil's off&running, but Kyren putting up a fight in the first frame.
Btw nice gesture from Neil bringing in the cricket bat in memory of Philip Hughes.
I played cricket in my younger years and never did like bouncers...always scared the holy crap out of me!
