This is a very questionable performance by Ding. Generally poor play I can accept players can have an off day or even an off season but his shot selection and general demeanor makes me think all is not right with Ding at the moment.

For some reason he has not entered many tournaments this season and those he has entered he has been pretty dire compared to the form in winning 5 ranking events last season.

I know he has supposedly got cue problems and is looking for another cue but I really doubt that is the main reason for this sudden poor form and the lack of tournaments participating in.
Perhaps he is suffering from burn out, he's been playing this game for a long long time despite only being 27, an age when most players hit their peak form.
