Lady luck deserted Jimmy long ago and that carries on into his old age.

I always thought it was more a case of Jimmy having Ms Champagne and Mr Colombia over a bit too often in the old days

Yes. I think that might have a lot to do with it. In a recent interview he said he could still win the Worlds. Makes me wonder if he's still on the stuff.

Having that hairy alien creature on the top of his head probably doesn't help either

Beeb bein ******s are not televising the evening sessions . That decision really shows up why bes of 17s were discarded.

I don't blame them. Obviously 'Flog It' is much more important that the UK Championship. FFS

              • It's amazing what a difference a couple of days can make for Marco Fu. I think he was the only player to come through the 1st round without making a single break over 50, and today he had three centuries against Lyu Haotian.

Yes. He's a an incredible and deadly player when he's got his eye in and more then capable of winning any tournament he enters.
I'm really surprised he hasn't won more silverware. The only failing I see is that he isn't aggressive enough at the back end of matches, especially on a final frame. Preferring to play safe and conservative which often allows his opponent to pot a long one and get in. Often I've heard commentators berate him for not taking on the shot and muttering that his lack of attack has probably cost him the frame and match.

they will say "yes they are", Red Button and online via BBC Sport website...
and then highlights later tonight, and then the Extra shows at 2am ...
what more could you ask for

Eurosport (free on most Sky packages, others not sure of) are showing the sessions live, as well as streaming (sportlemon and hahasport) for live coverage

The official streaming is blocked now it's televised #stupid

Eurosport is available on Virgin Media. Anyway it's Judd Trump or Nigel Bond to choose from apparently the current International Champion wasn't worthy of a TV Spot. #stupid.

                      • which official streaming? - well as there is no matches on at the mo, nothing to stream

yes, and the choice of match for the TV tables can be confusing
