He also almost potted the white with the last red, which would have given Shaun one of 2 needed snookers. I found that a bit careless from Jack. But he got away with it.
But there would still be one less red for Murphy to pot so not that bad at all really.
But all in all jack just needs to tighten up but he is young and I expect him to be around for a very long time.
Anyone thought the same about Shaun Murphys tip the clicking noise it made when striking a ball wonder which tip he is currently using. Any ideas anyone.

Murphy on fire this season a few maximums and four events won already - striking the ball with authority - looking dangerous - love watching him play. Jack my tip for the future seems to have a bit of work to do to get up to the required level - focus confidence and match play lacking a wee bit and he looked a little uneasy - bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights at times but he has youth on his side and can improve this hopefully.

He has four titles in 2014, so half of last season and the first part of this one. I wouldn't say on fire though, because he only has one quarter-final from the four major events, with three fairly early exits. He has won all eight of his matches against the lower-ranked players in the majors, but against other top16 players he has lost all four. So it will be interesting to see how his match against Fu goes on Wednesday.
Very impressed with Shaun Murphy overall. He's going to be very difficult to beat. Ricky Walden also has looked impressive. Tough match next for him though in facing the winner of Bingham/Walker.
I like Williams' chances over Maguire on Tuesday. it's tough to call a winner but I just don't trust Maguire's temperament at all.
There are a number of players who are playing
very well and it is tough to pick who will advance
and who will get knocked out. It should be very
interesting and some great snooker.
