  • I rarely get to hear the BBC guys these days, as I watch most of my snooker either on Eurosport on TV, or on Eurosport player.

I am quite relieved whenever it's Hendon and Johnson, but the combination of Studd and Hallett can be a nightmare to listen to.

    • Eurosport2 will pick up the snooker right now, as the bundesliga football has just finished. Oh the relief...snooker *with* talk again

      • What was that about Maguire not wanting to be a fat World Champion?

        • Great job Fu taking this frame as well...only 1 frame behind now...it's getting closer!

          • This will annoy Maguire, and it could be a similar turning point as that 6th frame in the Dott-Bingham match.

Maguire is an interesting player... he looks very strong when he gets long, uninterrupted scoring visits, but whenever there is a bit of safety played in between he often needs some time to get going again.

            • Fu missed a sitter.

              • I really want to see Fu come through in this match...don't care much for Maguire's temperament nor his temper tantrums. I also feel Fu has a better chance against Trump tomorrow.

                • Doesn't seem in the cards now...Marco just gave the frame away there in the end, what a shame.

Not so sure about that, Maguire has an excellent record over Trump.

This was a big frame, the first one where both players wasted a bunch of chances, so it was always going to be hard to take for the player who lost it. I wouldn't be surprised if Maguire won the match with a big break now.

                    • Looks like Marco Fu is done in this frame. Shame.

                      • Maybe not.

                          • Just my opinion but I don't think Fu should be anywhere near the QF of the UKs. Quite simply not good enough, he is one player who has definitely benefited from the shorter format.

At the moment, I don't think both players should be in the Quarter Finals.

Fu at his best could go toe to toe with the top 4 players. (Same with Maguire.)

Ah I see...interesting stat as always Odrl Still I very much prefer watching Fu. Also if Fu could get over Trump and ROS wins his match, a final between ROS and Fu would be fine with me.

This 9th frame is very erratic...c'mon Marco!
