There is another reason too. If he has done his obolution ( washed for prayer) touching another women other than your mother, sister, daughter, aunt , will negate it and will have to be performed again before prayer.
thanks for the info, I think you forgot "wife" in the list; IIRC, only direct female relation by family or marriage
They must surely be kiding me on eurosport. So there is live match in the afternoon, supposed to be broadcasted till 15:30, whilst the second frame of the televised match finished about 14:50. So they were scared to be late for another stupid football match by few mins maybe, if it would happen .... and now, frame is in progress, coverage scheduled till 21:00 and they leave sooner???? Idiots ....

Cheers for that Dean...very interesting take on it. You know I always found it so very odd, never could understand why someone who seems like a decent person and respectful (as most snooker players are) to others would have this major quirk. So I think before I criticise Rory any more, I would need to get to the bottom of this first. Might be difficult though as it is apparently ingrained within his religion. So I think I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now...thanks all for the info and feedback on this.

there does seem to be a slight limp to the stride as he was walking around the talk I noticed.
Question I thought the ankle was very badly sprained but not broken?
Yeah definately a limp and moving around rather carefully (on sneakers). They keep saying it's broken, but I can't image one can stand let alone walk around and put weight on a broken ankle...it must be sprained.
Aha! Just now Eurosport2 (mainland Europe) has gone live with the ROS match. It wasn't scheduled (before 10 cet) so I'm glad I decided to check it out anyway...
Edot : oh crap...eurosport is leaving the match for the skiing

From what I understand about his religion, I think it could be the opposite, that he does respect women and their family specifically, that in NOT shaking hands (touching them) he respects their family.
When I saw his match on the ET4 recently he had a female referee, and I saw their interaction at the start and end of the match, Rory placed his right hand on his chest and said some words directly to the referee and she looked directly at him and nodded very politely and said some words. It seemed very much to have respect on both sides.

All the better imo. Never got to warm to Rory as he doesn't respect women in general...if anyone can explain to me why the man will not shake hands with women please do let me know cause I am at a total loss about it. (yeah I know it's his religion and his prerogative but still seems complete and utterly wrong and ass-backwards to me)
Anyways...rant over with I have to say I'm dissapointed for Kyren having just lost to Neil. Too bad he couldn't keep it together in the final frames. He did really well. Well done to Neil as well for hanging in there...
