When Fu is playing well he doesn't waste many chances, so it should be an interesting game. O'Sullivan will have to play very well I suspect.
I expect Fu to beat O'Sullivan.

      Not a chance. 6-0 or 6-1 O'Sullivan.

      • Ronnie will probably raise his game for Fu as he knows on the day Fu can beat anyone.

Interesting to hear him say he still needing to wear his foot brace.

Great pot on the yellow, did he play the angles for that or was it a total fluke?

Also front row Brian sat in my seat! Going to have to take his place at a WC final one day.

Looking forward to seeing Ali walk in later.

Ricky wasn't playing that well and Ronnie just scrapped through. Fu is playing well. Better then Ronnie at the moment. I would be surprised if Ronnie beats him this time around.

          • Nice to see Walden fight back and win several
frames. Neither player played well tho and the
next rounds should be interesting as those left
will need to be in top form.

            • A good match i think Ronnie has set the bar so high over the years, its impossible to play the same high standard consistently, he knows this himself so its how well he'll cope with his game being more hit and miss, for the other players this means they'll get there chances against him, its how well they can take them , as Ronnie playing a lesser standard is capable of anything as proven today, when the questions are asked in most situations he seems to step up.
It's almost like many of his opponents don't believe they can beat him in the first place then when he misses a few or they look down and out its only then they start to play well, which is usually too late.

              • Ronnie has shown on many occasions to get better as the tournament gets older. With Selby and and Trump out, the only real challenge would probably be Robertson or Murphy

                • O'Sullivan is no different that any other player
and has off days just like all the others.

I get the impression that RoS doesn't really practice much at all, so if he's going to lose, it will be in the first round. After that, he tends to get sharper and sharper and then no one can touch him till maybe the final where he meets up with someone who is also having a nice tournament and may have half a chance at beating him.

                          • A nice start from Carter. Match practice is overrated.

                              • I'm glad walden cleared the balls both frames after ronnie missed, if Ricky had just potted a couple of balls in those last two frames he won and let ronnie back in then hendry would still be leading by 1.
It was Ricky's great clearancese that allowed ronnie to equal hendry's record. To do it on his birthday just so he does not forget is rubbing it in a bit, could not have picked a better day to equal hendry's record lol.
Pressure off Ronnie, now he can get back to winning titles
Got to take your hat off to Ricky also for putting Ronnie under so much pressure.

                                Cheers Ricky
