  • Yes a real pity...would have loved for John to make the maximum... I was even shooting out loud

By far the best and most enjoyable match of the tournament so far.

        • 565 + 3 today = 568

just from his manner when he came out at the start, I thought he may have it in mind

          • Great match, one of the best of the tournament so far.

I feel a little sorry for Higgins, because today was probably one of his best performances all season, but it still wasn't enough. He made three centuries and another 90, but the frames he threw away at 2-1 and 3-4 turned out to be more important in the end. If he had drawn Selby or Trump this week he could have gone through, but today his mistakes were punished fully.

It's nice to see Allen pinching these frames when he finds himself behind, like he did towards the end of his match against Williams in the International Championship. It shows that he has matured tactically now, and he knows those are the situations he really needs to concentrate on, because they can turn matches around. It could be a great game if Ding comes through to meet him in the quarter-finals.

Well he went all out that's for sure Incredible...3 centuries plus a 96 break in a best of 11 match and still loose...what a standard of play that was!

That was my Favourite match I've watched at the master's in a long time... That potential 147 would have made it a classic! C'mon Mark now is your time to win one of the big one's!
Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning...

                • Am gutted for Higgins - he's clearly suffering from age decline where he's still brilliant mostly but inexplicable errors creep in. Very frustrating
                  Highest Match Break 39 (November 10th 2015)

                  • How can someone score nearly 4 centuries in a first to 6 match and lose. It's unbelievable.

                    • Yes what a blow that must be for Higgins after
scoring so heavily in several frames.
I am hoping Ding is in form and advances.

                      • So far a pretty decent match-up between Ding and Perry. Some good potting and some mistakes...just how I like my frames Hoping for a tense and dramatic final frame decider tonight.

                        • Ding doesnt have the same intensity as he had
last season. He appears almost disinterested
                          or out of focus lately.

Agreed. I love watching Ding, but his mind just doesn't seem to be on the job of late.

                            • The audience can really irritate me at times. Why did they just applaud Joe Perry getting rid of a fly?

Why?? Why would you applaud that?
