Well that was a massive dissappointment. Ronnie hasn't turned up at all and it's not like Neil's play was scintillatingly good.

Agree. Neil's game hasn't been perfect but good enough to beat terrible Ronnie's.

This was always a possibility after Robertson's performance on Thursday, but I still expected O'Sullivan to raise his game today and make a match of it.

Robertson is getting a lot of praise for his performance, like O'Sullivan usually gets when he wins 6-1, but it has to be said he didn't get much resistance today. Maybe he has contributed a lot to that himself, particularly with that clearance in the 2nd frame, but even so... He will still have to win the final, it won't just be gifted to him. :wink:

We will probably get a "is this the end for O'Sullivan?" thread again now, but I wouldn't panic just yet. Everyone can have a bad day, especially at his age. :wink:

I think its good Ronnie losing today as it would of put more pressure on him winning the worlds, now he can relax and get himself ready for it

its been clear for yonks robertson has the measure of osullivan. ronnie would still be on three world champs if he'd drawn either robertson or selby en route.

great player against the also rans, but very vulnerable against those that can hit back. there has always been the whiff of flat track bully about him.

He did draw Robertson in 2012 and beat him 13-10 in the quarter-finals. :wink:

And now we're taking pot shots at him now are we. A player that has done more for the modern game then any other player on the circuit. A star of the game that fills venues wherever he goes and has provided huge inspiration to audiences and players alike.
