I have to say I'm impressed by the (almost overnight) turn Eurosport have taken with their snooker coverage; player interviews, familiar faces behind the scenes, studio analysis...

The BBC will always be the home of televised snooker for me, despite their flaws and lack of commitment, but the Eurosport coverage does have a nice air of 'hardcore, no nonsense snooker coverage' about it now.

Murphy has started to play now, we have seen him scoring like this in bursts for three or four frames, so Selby needs to be careful here. :smile:

Of course you never know in snooker, but Selby is not one to give up, even from a long way behind. He lost 10-4 to O'Sullivan in the Masters final last season, but other than that he has always been able to at least make the score respectable.

Murphy is making things difficult for himself, but it doesn't seem to matter at the moment, as everything is going in. Selby hasn't been able to keep him away from the table at all. :smile:

Well, the end of the session is coming to save Selby, but obviously it would be much better to only be 5-3 behind. I'm sure he would be delighted. :smile:

Big clearance from Selby to keep himself in the match! If he goes on to win this final this will have been the turning point, surely.

I won't see it live either, unfortunately. I won't he home until mid way through the session, but I will watch it delayed, so I am almost guaranteed a midnight finish, even if Murphy runs away with it. :smile:

That must have been an amazing night of snooker for everyone in the arena. All four matches going 5-4, two of those decided on the final black, the third one had a 147, and the fourth one might have been the best of the lot, a string of big breaks in almost record-breaking time. More of the same tomorrow please. :smile:

I was there and it was an amazing night.

I met John Higgins, Anthony McGill and Stephen Maguire on flight out to Berlin as well, a great trip
