Murphy is up against it now. Not only is O'Sullivan playing well, he is getting a little bit of luck as well. In the last frame Murphy knocked a red in when playing the split, and in this frame O'Sullivan fluked a snooker from a bad safety and forced an opening.

Two visits this time, but O'Sullivan gets the job done just the same. He broke down after a poor split again, and this time he seemed to hit it really tentatively. Didn't matter in the the end though.

A highly enjoyable evening of snooker, as was the afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by Murphy's performance, especially from 4-2 down.
O'Sullivan had his chances in the last three frames, and it's a little surprising he failed to take them, considering how well he played from 2-0 down. I thought he would have played behind that last red, but I guess he didn't have the nerve to take it down the cushion. Can't blame him really.
It's funny, my predictions were looking pretty good at 4-3 to Day, 4-2 to O'Sullivan and 4-4 in the Trump-Selby match, but in the end I got them all wrong. It will be interesting to see how the fourth match finishes.
Nice semi-final tomorrow, Murphy-Liang, a repeat of their semi in the 2009 Shanghai Masters, which Liang won 6-5.
