That was a good match. I'm delighted Higgins is through and hope he gets a lift from his run here and has a push at the worlds. Bracel played way better than i expected. Credit were credit is due. Dominic dale in the box was quite fun also.

A bit of an anti-climax in the end with those few misses from both players, but all in all that was a very enjoyable match. Probably one of the best one-session matches all season. :smile:

It's nice to see Brecel finally have a bit of a breakthrough. I'm sure he will play a lot worse and win matches in future. It's a shame he hasn't qualified for the China Open, so he only has the short format stuff now, ahead of the World Championship.

Nice to see Higgins in another final as well, his first in a season and a half. There have been signs of good form for a while now from Higgins, he just needed to put it together. In this tournament he has played his best when he needed to, and he had his bad patches when it wasn't so costly. If he plays like this in the final he will be tough to beat. :smile:

Hopefully the other match is as entertaining as this one. :smile:

Higgins probably played well enough to win the tournament today.

As an MJW fan, I still feel a bit a sore from the 2010 UK Championship so I hope Williams gets through to the final and blast Higgins away!

Surprising to see a young wonderkid with such a bad technique as Brecel's, he has no rhythm to his stroke, jabs at the white waaaay to much. Not surprised at his inconsistency at all.

quickly. He can still play extremely well and
if he keeps the silly mistakes to a minimum
