seen Filipiak a few times and I do think he needs to get over to England and play at one of the academies and the other players to get "match" practise as some of his shot-choices and shot-delivery is "club-level" looking.
Lines should have this one, as you say scrappy but entertaining
At the moment I think I would prefer to watch the blizzard. I agree that scrappy matches can be great fun to watch, but this one is dire. Given that both can obviously play the game properly, it does illustrate how incredibly tough pro snooker is to play at the level we have come to expect. I also think Lines is being dragged down by the limitations of the Filipiak standard, and that can happen.
Well I was thinking of Silvino and Peter Francisco and players like Warren King,no disrespect but it wasn't that great.
I love the slow burners as much as the quick-fire high-break stuff. I can see why some don't, it's almost like two different sports, but as long as the players are fairly evenly matched and both giving their all, I'm happy.

The fast and the furious,
The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

Yes this match has gone from fairly entertaining to a bit of a uninteresting slouch to be honest atm...I'm waiting for the next match to start really. Too many 'schoolboy errors' (not that I can do any better )
Although thinking about it now, it's probably home exposure for Filipiak in his own country, which is fair enough I suppose. Feel sorry for him in that he hasn't managed to compete.

Yes tbh it probably brings home how much stronger developing snooker is in China now compared to Europe,I'd be surprised if he came near winning a Chinese under 21 event now let alone in 2011.

we have seen many times the frames going down to the lowest denominator
this is where a professional player of experience should be able to get away from this trap and pull their game together and sprint ahead.
Maybe this is a gap in Oliver Lines' skill set?

Duffy blows his chance to win 4-2 and Robertson levels at three apiece. Reputation amongst the big boys has got to be a major advantage when it gets squeaky bum time.
Anyone know who's up nest? I'd like to see Lizowski v Cope, but it'll probably be White or Trump. Either way, I've got to nip out for a few hours so it'll be catch up viewing for me.
