Ta , they should probably not invite Ebdon to play this then in future
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

well actually Geordie, if you watch it it's one of the interesting things about the Shootout - the slower players such as Lawler, McLeod and Ebdon do just as well as anyone else ... all 3 made it through the first round (last 64) and Lawler has made it through to the last 16 with a good win over Dott

I've tried to enjoy this event, but:

            (i) Andy Goldstein
(ii) Mark Johnston-Allen's annoying "Blackpool, make some noiiiissse!!!"
(iii) Bellends in the crowd whistling and screaming whilst players are on the shot
(iv) Constant mispronunciations: who the hell are "Bressel"? "Meeta"? I think he gave Poomjaeng a multitude of first names, and I turned the sound down before Un-Nooh came on.
            (v) Is it not possible to mention Dominic Dale without the "Spaceman" tag in the same sentence? Glad he went out first round to avoid "Spaceman" overload.
(vi) Andy Goldstein MBE. WTF??? Since when?
(vii) Constant references to the Selby documentary. Constant.
(viii) Willie "I must admit I've never seen (insert non top 20 player here) play" Thorne
(ix) This is billed as exciting but I bet we can count on one hand the amount of exciting finishes in the history of this event. Whoever gets control of the table for the longest time invariably wins handsomely.
            (x) Did I mention Andy Goldstein? Does Barry Hearn consider this clown a friend of snooker? Instrumental in it's development? Why, just why?

              YELLOW

It has been mentioned a couple of times the past winners are all out. What significance does that have in a 1 frame setup.

I kind of like this event eventhough it's nothing more than a snooker-carnaval. I'm thinking maybe the refs in regular events need to be able to sentence loud crowds to visiting this event. Maybe they can get the noise out and behave for the rest of the season.

Michael White is gonna be bigger than Stephen Lee in 5 years.

This might not be the tournament your watching for the pure snooker, but I sure enjoyed myself in the last hour.

What a conclusion. congratulations for Michael White. He looked like a loser until about 40 seconds before end of frame.

                                Dear me that was close.

I like to say that this is a great tournament to get people used to seeing some names other than O'sullivan.
