82 minutes, the longest televised frame in snooker history. I watched the entire 77 minutes of the previous record, Selby against Fu in the 2007 UK Championship, which was probably higher quality, but today was certainly more dramatic. One thing though... How many players would have avoided playing position from pink to black like Robertson did? I'm still amazed he left himself a safety on the final black, and with distance between the balls as well. He was almost guaranteed to have an easier pot than the one Davis knocked in in the end.
The way I saw it; the path from pink to black was straight forward so I'm too very surprised that he didn't take the black on Maybe he didn't fancy using the rest?

Yes these new shorter formats are beginning to do the trick,I think I'll better lie down and have a slice of cake or a hot cross bun, after all its nearly Easter.

        • One of my favourites (Trump) wins but the others
(Murphy, Ding and Robertson) are all out.

It looks like O'Sullivan will easily beat Milkens
but Dott and Wenbo looks like a close one.

            • Very bad show from Ronnie there at the end, trying to intimidate the ref like that just because he went to get the ball out of the pocket and got in Ronnie's way. Its something Alex Higgins used to do a lot of too and its not on. The ref is in charge of the game, not Ronnie.

              • Aghhh Martin! it was going so well. Don't think you've made too many Welsh fans there mate . Nice win though.

                • Surprise win for Gould and its nice to see him win.
Maguire looks to be having a tough match and could
                  lose to Ebdon.

Friday looks like some tough matches.

                  Davis vs Bingham
                  Dott vs O'Sullivan
                  Gould vs Ebdon
                  Williams vs Trump

It was nice to see both Ebdon and Maguire taking
                  the time to sign autographs.

                  • Only managed to see a bit of this event so far.

Ronnie seemed to handle Milkins in his normal manner. reminds me of how east Ronnie used to always best Carter, some players just never have a chance against him imo.

Could we be in for an Ebdon vs O'sullivan final?

I will **** myself if we are, when did they last play? I remember a recent draw when both names where still in the bad but they avoided each other I think.

I am rooting for Ebdon now until.the final, would love to see one last COME ON from him at some point.

                    • Is it a one table setup from table?

On the live scoring website it list she starts time as 1 then 2 and for tonight 7 then 8 so looks like it to me.

we didn't get to hear what it was about but it's unlike Ronnie to complain about an isolated incident so I don't know if he felt Marcel had been getting in his way quite a bit or what. I still feel that calling him out while in the main arena was a bit unjust

I like Ronnie and he's excellent for the game, but sometimes he can be a arrogant b******** and he showed disrespect in bullying that referee yesterday. Yes, he did walk in front of him a couple of times, but so what, it didn't make any difference and he still won the match 4 - 0!

                              • i think ron expressed himself fine last night. just cus this lad looked a bit fluttered by it don't mean ron was out of order, quite the opposite. kid should have stopped what he was doing and listen to ronnie and learn something instead of avoiding his comments and giving it im big knob ref with my white doves on. stop poncing ref and serve the food
