It's time for Trump to beat the old guys. It's been a while since I've seen Trump whipping Ronnie's bum!

    • I would like to see Bingham vs Trump or Bingham vs Gould final .... shame MJW lost yesterday, but his latest results are good, hopefully he is going to win something soon

      • Trump v O'Sullivan I think Ronnie is going to switch gears and I think Judd is ready to win so would be good matchup

        • I've just finished watching Ebdon-Gould a few minutes before live snooker starts, perfect timing.

Gould played quite well to take a 3-1 lead, but it was mostly bits and pieces after that, and he was lucky that Ebdon wasn't a littler stronger. Trump missed a few last night as well, perhaps a little affected by his two recent defeats to Williams, but he too was lucky that Williams wasted his chances in the decider.

All in all, both Trump and Gould have played well this week, so it should be a good and possibly a high-scoring game. Trump won 5-1 when they played in the German Masters this season, and his win over Gould in the World Championship in 2011 was one of the great Crucible thrashings, so I will go for Trump to win 6-3 this afternoon.

          • I agree, think Trump will win this one. Hoping ROS comes through as well, because I would like to see an all-out battle with no quarter given between these two tomorrow.

Must say I'm suprised at that. Not what I was expecting.

                • Trump certainly gave frame 4 away. Missing the
yellow was a huge mistake on such an easy pot.
Gould 3-1 at the break. Trump certainly needs to
                  regroup and wake up here.

                      • Gould is playing at a very high level here and will take some beating whoever he plays in the final. Trump could do with a break though, I feel a little for him because he's been very consistent this season but only winning one title. I'm sure he'd swap his consistency to add an extra title or two rather than reaching the latter stages of many events and only winning one title. He seems to run into players on a hot streak like Gould today who has not performed anything like this level all season. Its very tough to win a title these days when so many players are capable of such a high standard on a given day.

                        • Yeah Martin playing very well and concentrated. Judd not at his best today. Could be an early finish to this match...

A Gould - Bingham Final now my favorite...

I think concentration is the thing. As I said Judd plays every single event and its bound to have an effect on your concentration at some point, mental tiredness is often what costs a player his form.

Gould on the other hand has had a poor season but has managed to find his form and looks fresh and up for it. Judd looks fed up, a sign he needs a lengthy break from the game and not a good sign for his chances at the crucible.

Also found a stat, that Judd has lost to the eventual winner of events this season on no less than 8 occassions, including 4 in a row. Proof that he has been a little unfortunate to run into the form horse more than any other player this season.
