It looks kind of surreal to me. Like watching a Gilliam film.

you can see the table better and the shots and angles especially around the black cushion usually the distance between the balls and black cushion is distorted

Did something controversial happen in the Gerard Greene match yesterday?

So 3-1 to Reanne Evans, Ken needs to be careful although the longer matches do tend to favour the better players. Yesterday Steven Hallworth was 4-0 up against Michael White and lost the next 7 frames although he managed to get back to 8-8 and ended up losing 10-8. Its an interesting match to watch, Reanne has potted some good balls although her control of the cueball is not great with a high break of 2 x 37 until the last frame with a 51. Ken has missed a few chances but to be fair Reanne is ahead on merit and has played some very good safety to force some errors from Ken who's safety has been average.

That Elliot Slessor was on Twitter, moaning about Gerard's behaviour. In a way to suggest that what Gerard did wasn't acceptable, and Slessor was considering putting in a complaint.

Not quite sure what it was that GG was supposed to have done.

Nice to see Evans at 4-4 and playing quite well.
She seems to have prepared well and has more
confidence than I have seen from her before and
her cueing looks smooth and relaxed.

watched the Evans Doherty match on the free youtube courtesy of World Snooker, hopefully they will do so again for the second session

normal service resumes for the second sessions of yesterday's matches.
I see hahasport.com has two tables today
                      http://www.hahasport.com/c-11.html

Yes I also watched some of it on Youtube as
my WS didnt work. WS has had their problems
lately which is annoying as I pay for the service
and it used to be excellent service.

I was waiting for someone to upload the Lu Ning controversy on youtube, and now that's I've seen it, it does look like a very harsh way to lose a frame.

There was a bit of mumbling before he played his shot, so I'm not sure whether he did nominate yellow, but it was quite clear that he just wanted to touch the white and leave the snooker. Does the nomination in the touching ball scenario absolutely have to be verbal? Even when there is no doubt whatsoever?

I can see there is no point in arguing after the referee has made the decision, but then again, 30 seconds seems very harsh, especially as his complaint had merit. I've seen Peter Ebdon literally argue with the referee for five minutes about a free ball on more than one occasion on TV, even when he was clearly in the wrong.

I watched the video and I did not hear anything after the referee called touching ball, and the strike.
And that means I don't hear any nomination and also I don't hear the Referee asking Lu to "Declare".
In the rules, Sec 3.8(a) "...If the cue-ball is touching one or more colours after a Red (or a free ball nominated as a Red) has been potted, the referee shall also ask the striker to DECLARE which colour he is on."
Lu says he nominated - I didn't hear anything
The Ref did not ask Declare - I didn't hear anything.
The sound is not brilliant on the video but I clearly heard "touching ball" and the "Foul", nothing at this table is clearly heard between those statements, other tables can be heard though.
Maybe the "you have 20 (30) seconds to continue the play" is a way the refs have been told to keep the game moving on?

My World Snooker LiveSport link isnt working.
Is anyone able to login to their account and
                              watch? Thanks

I can use hahasport but wanted to know if
                              WS has a global problem.

that rule was wrongly implemented here - it is a harsh one anyway and have never heard of a ref call that one - but seeing as he does not speak English and understand it properly how could he possibly understand what the ref was going on about anyway?

Bad call by the ref even if it was a foul to award the frame so quickly to Peter Ebdon don't you think?
                                go to 104 mins
