My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
          I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

              • i was there, Davies got lucky.

Jamie over did the final blue to pink, or he would have won it.

Davies didn't get the pace of the table, kept running out of position too many times. he was getting frustrated and let out a loud groan in the decider when he lost position when he was in among the balls.

although i'm glad he got through to round 2 of the qualifiers, i fear he will struggle against a better opponent and fear he may not make the finals unless he makes a vast improvement in form

                • Hard to disagree with those comments. Steve had a number chances and fluffed it but fair play, he sunk 2 great balls at the end. We should remember he hasn't played on the tour this season so he's entitled to be a tad rusty. Hope he can find more fluency in the next round.

                  • Thanks for posting the vid mythman69.

A win is a win and as a Davis fan I hope he can continue to improve and get into the worlds.
He may no longer be at the top of the game but he is still a formidable opponent and on a good day would give anyone a tough time.

                    • Nice video link, unspoiled which is cool.

Shame first line in comment below spoils the result.

Are there spoiler tags on this forum?

Great final two pots by Davis, pink was great and got almost perfect on the black.

Might go to the final three days of this.

Cheaper than one session at the crucible.

Where abouts are these stats? How many has Ronnie played now?

                          • Lets face it the guy is an utter legend - all those titles all those breaks all these years and still beating much younger world class players.

He is older than the hills and yet his rock solid technique has stood the test of time even as a part time player and I think he is an absolute credit to the game. Funny guy too one of the best you can see in an exhibition and not many - if any - around today can hold a crowd in the palm of his hand knock in centuries crack jokes and have the crowd in stitches like he does.

A rare find - like a golden nugget.

                              +1,

I remember being impressed reading about Ray Reardon's so called Indian summer, when Steve was one of his victims. Things have come round full circle now.
