Sam Baird then lost the next 5 frames . It may well have affected him .

the odds are totally nuts imho for the worlds and it happens imho because snooker is a minority sport and you get a bunch of retail money wanting to bet and only having heard of ronnie.

Ronnie at 9/4 vs. Higgins at 25-1 implies Ronnie is about 12* more likely to win it. Since 2007, Ronnie has won it 3* and Higgins has won it 3*.

I do think Ronnie is more likely to win but not 12* more likely.

But while Higgins has been looking and even talking like a man in decline, struggling to string frames together, Ronnie has won several marquee events.

Well, Luca is out, really shame it is .... but 9 50+ breaks from Higginson, well done to him, now I hope he will make it throught, but Rob Milkins is not an easy task ....

Of my other favourites, Matthew Stevens is through, going to face Joe Swail, should be a good match, also Robin Hull looking good to make it just one match away for another Crucible apperance

Brecel's dad was saying that Andrew seemed to be lucky in the first session . 9 breaks over 50 is not lucky . Well played Andrew .

The ref is cleaning the white quite often in the White-Selt match which may suggest the conditions are poor?

conditions have to be quite poor because everyone is playing quite poorly. I might be wrong but the number of century breaks seems to me quite low.

You could be right , Graeme Dott won 10-2 and only had 3 fifty breaks .
