This is quite a difficult one to predict. You'd obviously go for players like Trump who's been in good form and can cope with longer frames, Selby who has the grit and determination to win it again, O'Sullivan for his sheer class and know's what the Crucible is all about and Robertson who has a good temperament although his recent form has been dodgy. The other worth mentioning are Higgins who's recent from and previous experience, Murphy because of his class and all-round game and Ding, although his current form isn't the best.

My vote goes to O'Sullivan and to equal Davis and Reardon with six world titles.

Yeah, Murphy is her favourite target for occasional sarcastic remarks. Mark Williams as well, she is convinced he only loses matches because he can't be bothered.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for commenting. I knew O'Sullivan would lead the poll, as he always does, but I was surprised to see Trump with such an advantage over the other favourites.

I don't really know how to vote myself. The draw didn't really change much, as none of the qualifiers are very likely to trouble the top seeds this year, but the little section with Ding and Higgins got even stronger than it was before. As I said, Robertson has an edge over all of the players he is likely to face early on, and once he gets to the really long matches he is very tough to beat, especially if there is a bit of rivalry involved, like it would be against Selby or Murphy.

In the other half, O'Sullivan looks like the best bet. He has a reputation for being unpredictable, but I don't think that's entirely deserved. He has a good record over the other three seeds in his quarter, as well as the two most dangerous qualifiers, and that's something he almost always takes advantage of. He also has a good record over Ding in case they meet in the semi-finals. Not so great against Trump and Higgins, but in any case the winner of that other quarter could be a little drained after the tough matches they will have played.

I think it's pointless to over-analyse things further, since they never go according to plan anyway. Less than a day to go now, so it's time to enjoy the snooker, as I always do.

I had to laugh as it is pointless for me to get
my hopes up that one of my favourite players
wins... Robertson, Trump, Murphy or Ding as
snooker is such an unpredictable game.

Ronnie is always going to be a favorite but for some reason I cant shake this bad feeling that something shocking is going to happen. Ronnie seems a bit strange and even more unusually unpredictable last couple of months. I think there is way too much pressure on him and its going to affect his game. I hope I'm wrong.....that being said you never really do know with Ronnie, hes been known to feed off of that same pressure and play some unbelievable snooker. It'll either make him or break him. My second choice is definitely Judd Trump as I think hes had the best season of his career and looks to only be getting better and better with already 3 major close finals you can never rule him out. It really is so hard to decide though because everyone is playing incredible stuff and its really about the better player on the day. This can easily become the best World Championship of all time.
