  • Imagine if binghams name gets onto the trophy, disastrous enough with dotts name on it! Some say the standard is far better now, but, neither of these names would of been anywhere near the final in the 1990s

I'd like to have seen that. Hope they re-run it.

So your logic is that only players who have won lots of tournament and preferably the WC a few times, deserve to have their name on WC trophy?

Yeah, let's just ignore the fact that they've out-played many of the top seeds to earn such an accolade.

Unbelievable...what a joker. Btw I think SD is rather funny...he's pretty decent at doing stand-up comedy.

              • Shaun is playing well however he needs to
keep it up and not get complacent. He is
certainly capable of winning this match
                and possibly winning this tournament.

Oh I'm fairly certain we will see a totally different Barry in next session...so Shaun better have his things in order!

                  • Really enjoyed that. Lovely stuff from Shaun, hopefully Barry can get himself together for their next session so we get a decent match. Nothing against Bingsy or Bazza, but a final between Murphy and Trump is a tantalizing prospect, for me anyway. And that little moment with Jan Verhaas fixing Barry's tie was priceless, what a lovely guy he seems.

                    Can't wait for this evening.

                      • Good performance from Murphy in the opening session, he won two frames with centuries from Hawkins' break-off shots, and that's as good as it gets really. Good clearance in the final frame as well to make it 6-2, started with a lovely long pot again.

I expect Hawkins to get stronger tomorrow, and maybe a little comeback from him, like in his previous two matches. It won't be easy with Murphy playing so well though.

                        • I think Murphy way too good for Hawkins and may win World Championship, althou if trump can play the all round game like he has been he will be hard to beat as his potting been very good most of the week.

Personally I think its between Trump and Murphy!

                          Gaz.
