There's a guy from Iran called Hossein who looks like he could be a good player.

Hi Anyone know where I can find a list or have a link of individual and pairs results for the world cup matches i:E Stuart Bingham V Dechawat Poomjaeng, Mark Selby V Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and the pairs results as well, are all individual and pairs matches best of so many frames or is each match a one frame shoot out between the teams and players.

you are right, I cant find the names of the team members alongside any of the frame scores (WS LiveScores and Love Snooker), so if you don't know the order of player (i.e.watching the match) no way of knowing who scores what when.

Each match consists of one-frame shoot-outs in singles and doubles, each frame giving a point to the league table.

There is not much positive to say about this event really. The standard of snooker has been shocking, and I think this is what we have to look forward to if the people who want snooker in the Olympics get their wish...

They have also changed the rules for the doubles, so it's now alternate visits instead of alternate shots. In practice this means that someone like Robertson can make a century himself, without having to work with Calabrese, which would have been way more interesting.

Also, shocking decision to show Norway against Singapore when China and India are playing...

This tournament holds no importance for me personally . Just a gimmick event for TV .

I watched him against Dominic Dale, when I went to the qualifiers in Crawley the other week. He beat Dale 5-3.

I'm the same, but may catch the odd bit here and there, if I can.

Do you mean changed as from previous double events? or from the previously announced format?
I thought this event was always going to be alternating turns, not shots
But as you say alternating shots would be more entertaining

Nice one, I wonder how many of these new players will make it big.
Gonna be a lot more trying now that Barry is introducing Q School worldwide.

I mean it's different than in 2011. I remember a frame when Ding and Liang were on a scoring visit, and Liang kept losing position slightly, only for Ding to recover it and give him a sitter every time. It was fun to watch, and I think it would have been fun here. Especially in teams where there is a clear difference between the level of players, such as Robertson and Calabrese for example.

I have been watching a few matches and its decent
snooker in most cases. There are weaker players
and teams however there are some excellent players
as well. Its nice to see the level of snooker in other
countries and some decent players there as well.

The fact that there is two Chinese teams is hella stupid.

The final could be China vs China.

Yes the host country gets an extra team I think.

                              Some good matches saturday.

                              China A vs Scotland
                              Belgium vs India
                              Wales vs Thailand
                              China B vs Australia

Scotland vs India and Wales vs China (B) will be
                              some good matches on sunday.

Zhou Yuelong and Yan Bingtao won the Nongfu Spring World Cup in their home country,
beating Scotland 4-1 in the final in Wuxi.
These two young players played some excellent snooker
                                and are deserving winners.
