I didn't get to see much of yesterday's play, but really enjoyed this evening's match. Well played Joe.
Looking forward to the rest of it this weekend.

Yup that match was nice, very nice win for Joe!

I do not know why they do not show it outside the UK, am very surprised myself.
But on the other hand I am regularly surprised not to see matches on both subscriptions.
Sometimes you can see matches without commentary, while parts of the crowd are wearing earplugs (to maybe hear BBC commentary?).
I enjoy a no comment game still better than german commentary on TV.

Any one else think that the main camera angle [ looking down ] is poor .

        Don't like it all .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

yep, very high up looking too steep down onto the table, very nearly an overhead shot.
when the camera goes to show the player close up, I have a sense of relief as the vertigo goes away
          Up the TSF! :snooker:

I like it. Gives a more realistic sense of scale to me. In a way, the traditional view seems to make the table look smaller and thus the game looks easier, this view may make people appreciate how difficult it really is.

I'm enjoying Alan McManus' predictions more than anything else this week. "You can bet your life he won't be playing the pot here" *plays the pot* "One things for sure, he won't be playing the red on the cushion" *plays red on cushion*. If I was a betting man.

Watching this first frame between Murphy and Yann is making me feel a bit better about my game
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

I was laughing at that too, he is a great commentator though in my opinion.
After 15 reds and 15 blacks i did this http://youtu.be/DupuczMS2o4

This is the first time i've seen this youngster play, he has missed some sitters which he is bound to do with nerves, but he has potted some outrageous balls too, every credit if he pulls this win off.

In that case, if you haven't already, you should check out some of Mike Hallett's work, you'll love it. He is without doubt the king of the miss-call. He's also a great proponent of the 'call the shot after it's been played' school of commentary, truly remarkable.

Whatever Mike Hallett is paid to commentate it is too much. He should be paying them.

both playing pretty poorly so far
hopefully after the MSI the play will improve
got to say though Yan's safety has been good

Not too keen on there only being 4 players at a venue each day up to the final, the tournament seems a bit flat because of it.
I'd say the same thing about The Masters too but at least those matches are a bit longer with bigger crowds.
Does anyone know why ITV 4 doesn't cover Euro Tour events ?
