I think I read somewhere (Snooker Scene?) that ITV may expand their snooker coverage in the near future.

          what is going on tonight?
it's like watching down the club!

          is the table playing badly?
          any mention of this?

Neil R had a possible shot to roll the red along the top cushion but decided instead to knock it off the cushion into open play and the commentators said that it was because it would have been a very difficult shot on this table.
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
              I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

I'd say the same thing about The Masters too but at least those matches are a bit longer with bigger crowds.
Does anyone know why ITV 4 doesn't cover Euro Tour events ?

Logistics - moving cameras n crews around Europe is a wee bit expensive. Might all change next year when world snooker bring more events home to roost in the UK hopefully broadcasters will get on board for the one in Manchester and the Scottish and maybe all of them - hope they do it will help the game in general. I notice everyone wants to play when they see it on the telly.
The reason for its growth in Europe and elsewhere is Euro-sport -

Barry knows his onions he will get a few on board hopefully.

On a positive note I really like the venue and the TV camera angles they use on this event. Its my favourite one to watch on the telly.

                  +1
Their main camera reminds me of the BBC's higher angle at the Crucible in the 90's,this seems a bit higher and none the worse for it. :-)

This weekend I'm in Coventry. I shall be mainly eating, drinking and watching snooker.

The rest of the time I'll just waste.

The hotel I'm staying in looks well fancy. It has a casino.

I'll be sampling the hotel bar too. I've stayed in hotels where the bar is just an extension of the reception area, with a few seats put in. This one looks plush.

Mark Allen seems to be in a good spell lately. He should be favourite to win this tourney.

That opening red from Mark in the 4th frame was a beauty! He looks really up for it tonight, clean shaven and sharp, can't see Mags getting out of this one now, sure he'll give it a good try though.
