Totally gutted for him but he should have composed himself and not rushed. He risked it a bit with the pink so should have stopped and had a sip of water or wiped his cue. Gutted indeed is the right word. I can even imagine the pressure a player must feel coming to the last few balls. I'm on the couch and my adrenaline is still flowing!

Same here. I wouldn't say he rushed it. He's a very fast player anyway. He checked the potting angle, stood behinf the shot, got down, and he just missed it because of the pressure.

Wasn't a ranking event but he won £45k from winning the 6 reds world championship in september.

He should have used the rest on the pink so he could get a better cue ball because he didn't roll as far as he was intending and was left with a black needing more spin. He didn't prepare for that enough and if he had stopped to compose himself and maybe even gestured to the crowd he was feeling the pressure he would have got a warm laugh and felt settled to make sure he wasn't going to miss. Ken did the same and didn't give the shot the thought it deserves. When he was on the green I was thinking how do they manage during the final balls when there is a lot of money involved. Anything involving money makes us nervous and you only have to play poker to experience that feeling.
