Good first half session that, not much drama but plenty of quality, here's hoping Mags can catch up in the second half so we get a bit of tension. C'mon thunper!

Superb entertainment at the UK Championship this afternoon. Robertson's demolition of Maguire was reminiscent of his demolition of Carter at the Masters last season, and to do it after having a century made against him in the first frame was just superb. It could be Maguire, Higgins and Selby back to back for him, so he certainly doesn't have an easy draw, but with form like that he has nothing to worry about.
Another excellent comeback from Liang against Ford today. He was behind all the way, but started playing quite well towards the end. He too has a tricky opponent in Fu in the next round. I bet he would prefer to be in the top quarter instead.
Well, plenty of drama on the other table, decent quality snooker as well, so a nice mix this afternoon. I felt for Tom Ford but he definitely lost his focus toward the end there, and hats off to Liang, pulling back from 5 - 3 shows he's maturing IMO.
Think I'll concentrate on Swail v Gould this evening while keeping an eye on the other table. Martin's clearly the favourite, but I hope Joe gives him a good run for his money, at least. I expect JH to come through fairly comfortably, but of course, you just never know, he is prone to the odd wobble these days and Jamie is certainly no push-over.
Oh, I wonder, has Robertson peaked too early? Wouldn't be the first time IIRC.
EDIT:
Yeah just had a quick look and you're right Odrl, he had a very goo run in the masters,
also beating Ronnie 6 - 1 in the semi, but then went on to loose 10 - 2 to Shaun Murphy in the final.
And I'm fairly sure there are other similar occasions lurking at the back of my befuddled mind somewhere.
His form's been pretty good recently though so let's see if he can keep it up.

I'm old fashioned. I didn't like that 'Come On!' from Liang. I hope he loses now.
I'm very much 'whatever' when it comes to them wearing tuxedos, I think they should dress however they want. But I still like to see gentlemanly behaviour on the table.
