Well done to Liang, bit of sour grapes from Ford :
Tom Ford accused world number 29 Liang Wenbo of "boring him off the table" after losing a final-frame decider in the UK Championship fourth round.
The Leicester man led China's Liang 2-0, 3-2 and 5-3 but lost three frames in a row to miss out the quarter-finals.
"He is the most boring player I have played this season," Ford told BBC Sport. "He was so slow.
"Every time he got to the table he took so long. When I did come back I felt I had not been there for half an hour."

Higgins v Robertson and Fu v Wembo, as you say, mouth watering matches to look forward to.

Oh dear Tom. He didn't look very happy when he shook hands and walked off.
I think Liang is good to watch? Is it just me? Plays at a nice pace and seems like a nice guy!WPBSA Level 2 - 1st4Sport Coach

Yeah I find him watchable too, just concerned that he will do his neck in one day as he has like a ritual before most of his shots, sort of moving it to the side.

Liang's comeback was class, certainly not boring for the viewers, and he played nothing like Ford is suggesting. Ford only has himself to blame for losing, because he failed to handle the pressure as well as Liang did in the last three frames. It's surprising how many players can't accept a defeat with a bit of class this week...
Higgins wasn't as convincing as I expected today, he lost the plot a little from 4-1 up. Superb clearance in the last frame though, with two reds safe on the side cushion. He probably can't afford any wobble against Robertson tomorrow though.

Doesn't really work though of course as it was Fu's mistake anyway, wouldn't really surprise me if he won the tournament though, though tbh nothing personal but there's something about him I find a bit dull.

Very happy for Wenbo...it's about time. I like his style and (as someone else said) the faces he pulls at times...he is a funny bloke
A very nice QF line-up against another of my favorites Marco Fu.
I'm also very glad to see JH through to the next round...should be a cracker against Robbo!
Sour grapes indeed from Tom Ford. You lost, be a worthy loser and folks let's change the tune...

Definitely something weird about the 9th frame in the Higgins-Burnett match. After Burnett went 48-0 up I was surprised to see him attempt that tight red against the cushion when it looked as though there were at least two loose reds followed by pink or black that he could have gone for instead. Then he would have been up to about 65 points and within striking distance of taking the frame.
Or maybe my eyes are just deceiving me (must admit I wasn't really looking closely) - any way of getting to see a rerun of this frame and particularly this part?
