Aye, maybes. And I meant 'extended', not 'extending'

Well there you go... it's not just me who's picked up on this.

        Manners!
Good point that, a lot of the time the refs say thank you as well.
Shall we put it down to maybe the players are just in a hardcore concentration mode or am I being too generous?

That's Marc Allen for you and a player you'd never want to bet much money on. Him and MaGuire are two players that have loads of talent, but not fulfilled their potential

          • First couple of frames or so, I thought "This is a nicely poised match" Then I spent the rest of it watching ineptitude from both of them - so many silly misses, and Allen in particular unable to take his chances. No wonder Davis called him a Championship Player.

            • Amazing how inconsistent Allen is. I'm probably wrong but Allen strikes me as someone who has incredible talent but doesn't practice hard enough. He seems to moan and complain a lot. Hawkins on the other hand is clearly someone who worked incredibly hard at his game to get to where he is now. Much respect to bazza

It was a rotten match though truth be told. Pretty poor quality all round. We've had some high quality matches already though. Selby v Ronnie, Higgins v Liang and trump v maguire were pretty good

Tomorrow's affy match should make up for this. Robbo Vs Trump is a mouth-watering prospect.

                  Totally agree. I can't wait.
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                  I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

                  • Hawkins could be moving into that big 4 or 5 type territory soon,he said after beating Perry that he can win the tournament, two impressive wins suggest he might be right.

Does he fear Bingham? I know he lost to him in the worlds, got pushed close in the CoC, but I would have thought he'd be confident of beating Bingham if he played well, whereas Higgins has turned him over when he's been playing superbly.

I actually see a match between ROS an JH , as a Final of this tournament.
Both top players and that would be a top match to watch .

Would be a great final, turning back the clocks a bit, but it's impossible, if Higgins wins today he plays Ronnie in the semis. My money's on a Higgins/Robertson final, Higgins to take the decider on the black.

I did 20 mark with a m8 of mine on J Higgins. I hope he wins
