          • A very special performance from Ronnie, his focus, safety and break building were on a different scale today

            • Is Mark Allen living rough under a bridge? Always looks like a scruffy little git on tv.

              • Fair dues, best man won today. Shame it didn't go on a bit longer, but enjoyable all the same.

                    • Thought 3/1 was crazy odds for Ronnie to win the title. Hmmmmm

He's moved to 13/8 now, with Robbo 3/1 and Judd 5/1 reflecting Robbo being fave in their match. But still, the punters turning in droves towards the Rocket.

                          • The stat men on here are bound to know of other frames that have been lost straight up( no snookers) when a seventy break has been made, and then countered by a clearance, there can't be many, can there?
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

The record I believe is an 80 break by Neal Foulds which was not enough to win against Willie Thorne as Thorne won 81-80 (though not a single clearance). This was in the 1989 English Professional Championship.

In the 2009 Championship League, Hendry was leading Ebdon 79-0 and lost the frame 79-82, but neither of those came from a single break.
