  • Yeah I think that is a good summary. Very good player but tries to get in the other players head.

Every player on the tour grafts, they just don't all take bloody ages to take a shot when doing so. Ebdon saw the shots from the commentary box very quickly, but at the table he takes an eternity, and that has to be deliberate.
Time for the referees to grow a pair and do something about it.

This is not strictly true, he's trying to compose himself to not make mistakes as much as anything else. As he says, he ain't got the talent of the rest. and Ebdon calling shots quick, hahahaha, he is a real grinder. Coaches teach players to concentrate and focus 100% and this is the result, shots in chess time. Still, he's no.1 so he can't be doing too bad on his approach. lol

I like his grit and fight. It's something we can all do with.

Bollocks, he's as good as anyone else as he proved against Walden, just lacks belief against some players, especially Ronnie, so turns to gamesmanship.
With Ronnie picking and choosing his events now, they all know that when he enters a tourny he means to win it, that's putting a little extra pressure on the rest and it showed in the Masters, nobody performed well against him.

Grit and fight doesn't have to take an age, you can be just as determined playing at your natural pace, which in Ebdons case was quite quick in his ponytail days.
