It should be an interesting final today...

Unless I'm forgetting something, this is the first major final since the 2009 Welsh Open between two players who haven't really won anything yet. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a really nervy match, especially in the first session. Gould in particular is famous for sometimes succumbing to pressure, but he held his nerve quite well yesterday, and he played very well in his first ranking final in Australia at the start of the season as well. Brecel came through a pretty poor match last night, and he will definitely need to raise his game today, as I think Gould is playing the better of the two in this tournament. I also think Gould is generally the better player at this point in time, so I think he may prevail today. I am going for 9-5 in favour of Gould, although I would obviously prefer a closer match, with a midnight finish if possible. :smile:
