Well done Mags. I enjoyed that match. It was nip and tuck in the first half them Selby missed that red and Mags got stronger. Selby twitched a couple a long balls in the last few frames to gift Mags his chances. I hope Mags meets Trump and stiffens him. Trump was talking the other day as if he has the tournament won and that none can touch him...

Yeah! I was thinking Selby could do it. Even with the reds all glued to the back cushion. I was hoping for it myself and as u say, Selby deserved it tbh. It's a funny old game as the margins are so small with those top guys. More of the same please for the rest of the tourney!
Eurosport are striding ahead of the BBC for snooker IMO. Matt Smith is excellent as was Robo and Jimmy and Foldsy is the best in the business for me.
I retract my previous praising of Colin Murray! What was i thinking... It's a far smoother more professional show on offer now. All they need to do now is give the snooker more air-time thus do all the little backstories to give the viewing public more of an insight of the players. They'll have it nailed after that for me. Well transfer some better commentators in for the 2 dummies they have on at times: Hallet and Johnson.

I had a feeling it would be a really good match tonight and I wasn't disappointed. Selby missed a few, particularly from distance, and that's just not good enough to beat Maguire when he is as composed as tonight. Good chance to reach the semi-finals for Maguire now.
That third quarter is looking interesting, as I suspected it would. Brecel in particular has been quite lucky with the draw. He should have played Robertson, Fu and O'Sullivan in this tournament, but instead he could now reach the semi-finals by beating Zhao Xintong, Kurt Maflin and Mark Joyce. Can't complain, can he?

They didn't exactly give us much time for the QF predictions, so I will skip them.
It's an interesting line-up though. Trump is the only really top player still left in the tournament, and Wilson is the only other player who currently holds a major title, so there is a decent chance we could have an unlikely winner this week. It would be Maguire's first big title in three years, and Dott's first in almost nine years. The other four players have not won one yet, although Gould and Day have certainly come close in the past...
It should be four very close matches tonight. Unfortunately we will only see one of them, so hopefully it's a good one.
