Yeh I looked at this a while ago on the head to head pages. Basically, over any serious amount of games played (think its at least 3) Ronnie has a better head to head record against every single player in snooker... apart from against John Parrott, who comfortably holds a comfortable 8-4 record.
As with Hatcherjob I spent a fair while trying to find a top player with a winning record against Ronnie and couldn't find anyone (assuming they'd played more than a couple of frames). I guess I always thought of Parrott as being from the previous era so never bothered checking.
That's just funny though, John ****ing Parrott, the cheeky sod beat Jimmy White to claim his only world title and is the only top player to have a winning record against Ronnie. The hilarity of that has made my evening, still chuckling.
Well I win 675 pound if Ronnie wins or 250 if Robertson wins!! So come on Ronnie! I feel ronnie needs to go into tonight with a 5-3 lead to win this. Robertson is extremely strong and getting better.
I think its better for snooker if Robbo wins today. Nothing against ROS, but a lot of people are getting tired of his BS. Awesome form this week from him though, he should let that do the talking. Jmo..

Ronnie is another jeremy clarkson, you'll always have your haters but they will always have a massive following where they can't do no wrong in people's eyes and I am one of them.
I've been looking forward to this one. O'Sullivan and Robertson have played the occasional big match in the past, but this is the first time they meet in a proper major final. It's also the first ranking final this season to feature two of the very best players in the world, after a series of surprising finalists in the first part of the season. Most of their matches in the past have been over one session, the only exception really are the two best-of-25s at the Crucible, which O'Sullivan won 13-10. Their only meeting in the more recent times was in the semi-finals of the Masters last season, when Robertson played quite well to win 6-1.
What can we expect today? Well, O'Sullivan is certainly playing better snooker than he was a year ago. In fact, I would say he is playing his best tournament since at least the 2014 Welsh Open, while Robertson is quite close to his best form as well, but I'm not sure he is playing as well as he did in the UK Championship. These two have been the best scorers in the game in recent times. O'Sullivan has repeatedly won frames in one visit this week, even from difficult positions, and his snooker has reminded me of some of his best years, like 2004 or 2008. He has also backed his scoring with an excellent long game, and his concentration has been exemplary all week. Robertson has impressed me as well, he didn't panic when he went behind yesterday, and he didn't show any sign of being under pressure against Ding, even when he had total clearances made against him. It was kind of like his match against Maguire in the UK Championship, a superb break from his opponent in the opening frame, but Robertson just responds with some flawless snooker and wins the next five frames...
If anyone can take O'Sullivan on in a scoring exchange at the moment, it's Robertson. But is it a good idea? I think it will suit Robertson if the match is a little slower, he seems to have unlimited reserves of patience and concentration, while O'Sullivan quite clearly doesn't. It doesn't even have to be a scrappy and fragmented match, we know Robertson compiles his breaks a lot more slowly and methodically than O'Sullivan, so if he can keep him away from the table for two or three frames in a row, he will have an excellent chance. On the other hand, O'Sullivan will probably follow the recipe that has served him so well in major finals over the years. He will be looking to apply the pressure early on, then just take advantage of all the mistakes that inevitably follow. If you look at the previous finals these two players have won, they have both mostly been excellent front-runners, so I think the first few frames will set the tone for the rest of the match today.
Looking forward to seeing all the centuries fly in. It's just a shame it's only best-of-17, because those two extra frames have often made the difference in the end, and I do like a good midnight finish. I hope for a 9-8 either way, and I do think it will go very close, but my feeling is that O'Sullivan will prevail.

Why can't you seperate his brilliance as a snooker player from his daft behaviour Leo, it's ok to disagree with someone talented, he's not above what society expects behaviour wise, just because he's good at hitting balls with a slightly pointy stick.
I hope Ronnie wins today, well I hope he's on fire as its a great sight and if he is he wins.

Because his daft behaviour is all part of why thousands flock to see him.

That makes him sound more like a Victorian freak show, I don't beleive anyone in their right mind watches Ronnie hoping he acts like a tit, what on earth does that say about his fans?
