Everyone keep saying the uncharismatic yellow vegan went for shots, how wrong and clueless. He was same old boring 5x round the table as ever, playing to attack in crucial moments only when no other way. The best example, don't remember which frame in the evening session, he had to attack and develope the pack but he rather chose to play the impossible long red off the cluster to the bulk right, and scored, and everyone was in awe but it was thanks to that, in essence cowardly shot, that he lost his position and Ronnie rightly went on thrashing him and like a king even praising him to be the best in the world :-D

A bit disappointed with the evening session of the final of what was really enjoyable tournament up to that point.
I would never have expected Neil Robertson to waste so many chances he was given, he is usually far more clinical than he was this time. I honestly thought he will be winner of the final in the end. He can't be happy, altough O'Sullivan was pretty solid, Robertson had his chancee each frame during the evening session (except the last one).
Fair play to O'Sullivan. I am not his fan, I don't like him, but I will admit it was pleasure to watch him performing this well, I would guess his 50+ break per frame won must have been around 90% for the whole tournament, never have seen such a scoring power for a whole week.

I think there are some fans that would've tried to see more given the same opportunity.

yeah I thought it rolled off as well. happens less I think to Ronnie because he is in favour of "punching" the balls inOriginally Posted by acpc89 View PostWell done Ronnie! Favourite from the outset.
Must admit, the pink Robertson missed in the second frame of the afternoon session to the left looked like it did roll off when it went over some finger marks. You could see him talking about that shot at the mid-session interval to one of his team, I think that took away a lot of his confidence. But surely he must be used to that by now and able to get on with it.
I did call it out that Ronnie will win 6 frames on the trot like the world champs but surprised he did it as comfortable as he had did in the end. Robertson had so many chances, it was as though he didnt want to win it.
Like someone stated above, I wouldn't put Robertson with the likes of Williams/Hendry/Higgins/Ronnie/Davis as he needs more majors and more of these lesser tournaments. He hasnt had too many battle scars over the years from the big players, but again the competition is a lot more broad.
On the whole, probably one of, if not my favourite tournament from start to finish or 2nd round onwards in terms of quality, excitement, and just sheer brilliance. So many scoring masterclasses and pots it was rather impressive. Certainly did not feel like a lesser tournament from r2/3 onwards. It had more hype than some of the worlds championships have in recent years.Highest Match Break 39 (November 10th 2015)

I suspected that's what was meant, but the "everyone talks about it" bit threw me off, since I don't remember anyone ever mentioning that incident as an example of good or bad sportsmanship.
Of course sportsmanship doesn't even come into it, Robertson was perfectly entitled to point it out.

If I was Robbo I don't think I would have shouted out. Got to leave the ref to do his job.
