  • If that idiot Hallett says 'this could go wrong' one more time the TV is going through the window...

    • Another superb break from Robertson. Fu will be regretting that pink to the middle that would have won him the frame for 2-1.

Peter Ebdon in his prime was also able scrap and win the frames he shouldn't....that is why he won a World title. Graeme Dott did this some years ago.
As for ton after ton....23 tons per season is decent but not incredible. You should take into consideration the number of tournaments available this days.

Mark Selby is 5th on the all time Century list with 396 century breaks. I rest my case (no pun intended).

                • Second frame...lots of re-spotted blacks ROS clearing the table.

..and then looks to proceed to be his own petulant self once more...he clearly does not like this ref...the same one who in his eyes was so slow and impeding him in one of the earlier tournaments last year. Let's wait and see what happens

                  • Anyone who won't miss Ronnie playing when he does go, I don't think they understand what they are watching. Fair enough be glad he's gone because of his whinging or antics, but not his actual snooker, it's the best there is, why wish it away.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Well...precisely like I pointed out in one of my previous posts already...because it is boring.

                      • That's not his fault though Daffi, what do you want him to do , start deliberately missing a few to give them a chance? If it's not close its the other players to blame they should raise their game, if they can't again not Osullivans fault.

                        • I don't have a preference for watching certain players based on ability, it's more their style or if I like them as a person.

Selby's a nice bloke, he's local and plays in our club from time to time so naturally i'm a fan. The best player to watch though in my opinion is Luca Brecel, he's so fluent from walking around the table to actually playing the shot.

Of course not...and I enjoy watching him perform his magic as much as anybody else. But ultimately I watch snooker forthe battles (like I said many times already). So whether it's ROS or anyone else, yes even Selby, first and formost I need close & tense matches and battles...at all times But seriously though, this is what I enjoy most about watching snooker...not an exhibition.

Plus I don't find ROS a particular nice bloke, far too much self-centered and too far removed from the snooker world. Especially when compared to other snooker players.

                              • Well, O'Sullivan isn't even particularly dominant, he only holds one major title at the moment. The problem is that his matches against complete underdogs constantly get televised, and of course most of them will be one sided. The TV channels do like their big names, so it's the same problem with Selby and Robertson to some extent. They constantly televise these 4-0 or 4-1 matches, while the really interesting matches are played on the outside tables.
