I don't get why people on this forum showing a lack of respect to ronnie for? He is a genius and there is a lot of negativity going his way from a lot you of clueless cue fans.

Sometimes he's a tit, it's not disrespectful to point it out, but it is sycophantic to agree with everything he says and does.

Or perhaps some people with a balanced opinion, who have seen snooker before Ronnie and who believe it will last beyond him, and see that he is not without weaknesses?

In my view its a bit clueless and disrespectful to the game to suggest that the great snooker tournaments should have shot clocks, and support the way that Ronnie chooses to play snooker, and not allow other people to try to play their way. Snooker is a test of temperament and technique, and the best matches often consist of a contrast in styles. The format encourages this, and the game is richer for it. It's not just how good you can be with no pressure on it. What some of you seem to want are exhibition tournaments....which are catered for outside the professional competitive circuit.

I think its more the other way around,like the remaining top 32 know the public and net traffic is only interested in O'Sullivan so the pro's can just bore their way through an event and those that can't play can enjoy the moment.

Joe Perry said after the Masters last month that Ronnie could do more to be an ambassador for snooker,you couldn't make it up.

Ronnie be happy to get out of that session at 5-3, could of been 6-2 down, he cant win every match 9-0, hes human after all. At least robertson isnt buckling like 90% of todays other professionals when it comes to meeting osullivan in a big match. Hes head and shoulders above the rest, and i can see him reeling off a few quick frames this evening, hopefully neil doesnt start taking 10 minutes to play a simple shot, surely he wont start that silly carry on again.

Ronnie needs to win this session 3-1 I feel. Even 2-2 could be a problem going into the final play.

Poor quality from both players compared to how well they were playing earlier in the tournament, both missing balls they would pot in their sleep in earlier rounds. So few frames being taken at one visit.

This is shaping up nicely. It's a funny old game this. It's been a scrappy 2nd session thus far. All these muppets in the crowd really get on my nipple ends.

This really is amateur hour tonight, you'd see better snooker down most local clubs.

The minds a funny thing. You would think these men, if anyone , would be used to playing in finals,and tight matches yet here we are again watching two of the best miss unexpectedly.
