The one I enjoy the most in Dom Dale, he is accurate and entertaining, I suspect the accent is why we don't get him more on the bbc but his commentary skill is second to none.

He doesn't have the same obsessive stat knowledge as Phil Yates, but he clearly knows a lot about snooker and has a laid back style that comes across well, in my opinion.

If you were meaning to ask whether his determination is what's helped him have success, then the answer is yes. In professional snooker, having talent will only take you so far. If you get overly stressed every time you miss a shot, or can't think properly in front of a crowd or television camera than you are less likely to win much no matter how well you can play outside of tournament play. A bit like Willie Thorne's many 147s made in practice really don't matter, it's what he's done in professional competition that counts.
I take it as hand in hand, to be honest. I never really liked discussions of over or under achieving, because if somebody has a lot of talent but no temperament or heart for the game, I find it hard to claim they should have won more. Myabe they could have, but there's no should about it if they bottle it every time they play a bad shot.

No offense taken, SnookerFan. Perhaps my opening line was a little provocative.
ADR147, I agree. DD is always seen as the clown, but like you say his knowledge and commentary are StN."Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

Yeah, good to see Ding winning the decider with a century, like he did so many times during the 2013/2014 season. Unfortunately I missed his match against Ebdon yesterday, and I only caught the second part of today's match. Un-Nooh didn't really get a great chance to win the match from 3-1 up, and Ding was quite lucky early on in the decider, when he went for a couple of long balls, missed them by a mile and left nothing...
This has been an interesting tournament with lots of surprises so far. I think only one of my predicted quarter-finalists is still in the tournament.
It's a shame the quarter-finals are still only best-of-7 though...

That was an unexpectedly short match. I know Liang hadn't been on TV this week before tonight, but it looked like he was in really good form, so I expected him to give Murphy a good game. But it was just one of those evenings, Murphy potted almost everything, while Liang missed almost every tricky ball he attempted. Hopefully the second match is better.
