A final that summed up the whole tourney, just struggled along. Well done smurf, probably the best player this week. This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Regardless, the thought of pie, chips and peas keeps entering my mind, so it's doing something right.Last edited by Hello, Mr Big Shot; 13 March 2016, 11:59 PM.

A good evening of snooker that was. I particularly liked the long frame that Bingham won on the black, frame 16, wasn't it? The standard of play wasn't all that great, but it was still interesting to watch.
All in all, this tournament wasn't among my favourites this season. You can't expect to have a grand and prestigious tournament and have most of it played over the best-of-7 format at the same time. It should come back with longer matches next season.
The PTC Finals in a week's time have an identical format, but at least the tournament is going in the right direction, with the final now being played over two sessions.

Dreadful final with two out of form players somehow making the final. The early round of best of 7 format makes it a bit of a lottery tournament, for such good prize money, the early rounds should be best of 9 at least. Too many shock results early on.
Next couple of tournaments will hopefully see a rise in quality.

I actually liked this final a lot. It was not one-sided as we usually had this season, both players were far beyond their best, so neither of them run away with it.
Congratulations to Shaun Murphy, the two reds in decider were crazy good. Also, well done to Stuart Bingham, hope he will finish this season on a high note.
