I think Ding might take it 5-3, well I hope he does anyway.

Holy moly that opening!! Gooesbumps on me goosebumps! Even better than the Hedrix opening from the other day.
In case anyone wondering (as I was, the second I heard it) it's Disturbed version of the classic S&G song. I had to SoundHound it.
* Sorry, neuronic, you beat me to it."Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

I have to be honest and admit I didn't expect Selby to play this well today. He hardly made any mistakes, while his previous couple of matches were full of them, and I think Ding wasn't prepared for this either. It would have been even worse had that blue gone in...
That said, Selby won most of the frames that could have gone either way, and there is no guarantee that will continue. The momentum inevitably shifts a couple of times in these matches with multiple sessions, and I still think Ding is capable of playing the better snooker at this particular point in time. I may look very silly if Selby wins it easily, but for the moment I am still sticking with my prediction of a Ding win. He needs to win this session though, preferably 6-3, because losing it would mean he was at least 11-6 down overnight, and that just may be a bit too much...

Them who are saying that Mark Selby is slow should look at shot times today. Ding was taking longer . Yes Mark was putting in some awkward situations but what do you expect gift him a frame.
Ding had chances in Frame 1 and 3, so clearly he hasn't handled his nerves well, if he did we might have had a different score line .
I can see the evening session going 5-3 to or 4-4 to Selby at worse which will give him a good lead going into tomorrow
