A comfortable lead for Mark Williams. He looks in control.

His performance to win the International Championship last season was some of the best snooker anyone has played in recent times. And in case you are unaware, Walden was a finalist in the last two tournaments before the WC this season.

Walden is a quality act, unfortunately most of his defining performances have been abroad - he beat Ronnie O'Sullivan in the Shanghai Masters final one year.
Oh, by the way...here's my Day 2 Review of the Championship!

You may recall the hilarious attempt at a death stare when he came out to face Ronnie, to which O'Sullivan responded by metaphorically ragdolling him.Last edited by gavpowell; 18 April 2016, 12:07 AM.

Well good luck to whoever tries it, I'm sure it has some merits.
Ronnie has always give him a good ragdolling haha

I can't believe Maguire is out again, so early. Fourth time on the trot being ousted in the first round, that must be going through your head. I'm pleased for Angles though as I really like the guy but it was not the expected outcome to me.
It is a shame really because Maguire is blessed with natural talent. His cue action is immaculate and he is such a heavy potter (no pun intended :P) that he should have won more titles by now, even a world crown maybe....but the issue here is clearly mental. At 7-3 down, he got snookered and didn't even bother trying to escape properly. He just threw a missile with the white which went overboard actuallyu....like he didn't really care.
As I was writing this, I just came accross an article published this morning on the Beeb where Stevie says to be embarrassed by his attitude and the fact not being motivated during the match:

It is an interesting read that backs my comments above. He really needs to see someone to help him out. When you see the wonders Dr Steve Peters did with Ronnie, he should pay him a visit....Blimey, he's too good of a player to let it go like this. Like McManus says : when in the zone and motivated, he is "an absolute animal..."Ton Praram III Series 1 | 58" 18.4oz 9.4mm | ash shaft + 4 splices of Brazilian Rosewood | Grand Cue medium tips
