No one came out of that episode well, including Higgins, his manager, NOTW or the WPBSA.

      Very true.

      • Really enjoyed that 3rd frame between Selby & Milkins, particularly the battle of the brown, great stuff.

          • Hmm, hope he's alright. Have had enough celebrity deaths this year, don't want another tragedy.

Pretty sure Ronnie O'Sullivan has never been "alright"... :numbness:

                • He's got serious emotional issues. I'm sure someone like Davis would be the first to give him a helping hand and a word of encouragement rather than to slam him, so there's a bit of irony in the above comment.

And I think we can safely assume he's not dead

At 7-3 down, he got snookered and didn't even bother trying to escape properly. He just threw a missile with the white which went overboard actuallyu....like he didn't really care.
I think people have a tendency these days to read too much into things. Everyone seems to think a shrink or 'counselling' is the answer to everything.

He's just a hot-head. He's his own-worst enemy with a temper and level of frustration he can't control. It's unfortunate, but there's millions of others like him and I think it's wrong to go saying he needs mental help.

                      • O'Sullivan is the greatest player to ever pick up a cue .... I cannot understand why many members on this forum are forever knocking him.

That temper can be channeled and used more effectively and yes, he is his own worst enemy with a man of his talent.

Neither was Robin Williams until he topped himself after suffering for years with depression.

It's odd that he would not attend press conferences, he's spoken about the last time this happened and it was due to him being incredibly low and having dark thoughts.

Therefore I expressed a wish that I hope he would be okay as he isn't doing this for attention as some cretins would believe.

                            • Is Ronnie contracted to Eurosports to give exclusive interviews?

                              • Who was the commentator that joined Ken in the box for the final session of the Williams match? Seems very odd to go dragging a fresh voice out of the blue, when they've got so many regulars to fall back on. Not to mention Neil Foulds if only the Beeb would employ his services more (or is he contracted to ITV now?)
