Yes JH & MJW played well didn't they, lets hope they can keep it up for the rest of the tournament, be great to see either of them lift the trophy again. This match is warming up a bit now we're near the end....

    The fast and the furious,
    The slow and labourious,

      I can't remember any.

It really was an excellent match. Top drawer snooker which really highlighted to me just how bad the Walden match was when I'd turned over.

      • I have a feeling the 2011 WC, John Higgins vs Stephen Lee. Higgins was around 97% Pot success and Lee was around 94% for almost all the match, it may have finished like that. But it was impressive. I could be wrong but sure it was something similar to that.

It may not help, but it's a strong possibility, so why not give it a go?
Exactly and that's were players with excellent ability but dodgy temperaments like MaGuire and Allen could benefit. They could add a few more tournaments to their CV and with that more dosh.

Glad Walden found a bit of form in the end or it could have been a real slugfest!

Bit sad to hear Neil and Jimmy have chosen Eurosport for the WC coverage. Maybe the Beeb are a bit staid for Jimmy's personality, but he should be joining the rest of us at its home.
I think the BBC are trying to keep everything ultra clean with all of the recent bad publicity and Jimmy doesn't fit in to that mould unfortunately.

The BBC is no longer the home of the WC, it's barely even a place to pitch a tent, lucky to have one table on the red button, whilst Eurosport have devoted both channels, invested in the new studio format and fill the gaps with the Ronnie show so your always guaranteed a snooker fix, plus you can record it, rewind it etc, which you can't do on the red button!
No one is listening until you make a mistake!

Being brought up with BBC for snooker and darts, it's a real travesty what's happening with their coverage of these sports. I'll need to remember this when I go to pay my TV licence in December!

BBC Red Button is Sky channel 980, record, rewind, etc. all available
Also it means you can easily quickly jump from one table to the other (i.e. 102, 980, 102 using the blue button - annoys-the-buggery out of the wife )
not sure if the other systems have this channel somewhere, anyone?

                                found this:
                                Freeview - 601
                                YouView - 601
                                Sky - 980
                                Freesat - 981
                                Virgin Media - 991
                                Up the TSF! :snooker:
