Good entertainment today, on both tables. It looked like it was not going to be Ding's night, but he played a couple of excellent frames after going 8-6 behind, although he did have that incredible fluke when he would have left Gould in. He probably had the toughest section of the draw, with Gould, Trump and Robertson back to back, but now it looks like it could be something like Gould, Liang and Williams, which isn't quite so tough on paper. :smile:

Wilson had a nice finish against Perry as well, behind for most of the match, but finished strongly to take the lead after the first session.

I like Trump, but I want to see the battle of China, could be a massive audience over there for that match.

Shame, I was cheering for Martin, he is very likeable player, he missed a relatively hard pot in 16th when 41 up, in 17th Ding had that tremendously fluked plant as well as couple other good run of balls in the last couple of frames overal. Not to take anything from Ding, when he had chance in the last frames, he mostly took them rather than not. Good luck to him in the rest of the tournament, I still dont believe he will make it past 1/4 final.

As for the second match today, it was mostly pretty high standard with 3 or 4 50+ breaks from both players. I hope Joe Pery comes through, sadly, I just cant stand that weird pause during the shot delivery of Kyren Wilson.

When he was lining that shot up (the fluke) I was watching him thinking, what is he playing? Then I thought he must be playing that red up into the top right corner, he hits it, I was tapping the arm of my chair in approval. I hadn't even seen the red he tried to pot
