  • I believe most kicks are poor cueing too.

They 100% definitely are the vast majority of the time. You can see it with Ronnie because when he has a kick he doesn't get the cue ball cleaned because he realises he just hit it poorly, and he very rarely gets more than 1 kick in a break despite not having the cue ball cleaned.

          • Think Carter has the right idea if the table gives you a kick, punch it back!

Well I'm game but I'm not coming to yours, you can't even get both tables!

                • when your opponent is obviously frustrated with how they are doing at the table, this is when you relax and take the chances given to go further ahead; this is what McManus is doing, Ali does not have much time left to get control of his inside-machinations...
"all the way"? I doubt it unless Ali demonstrates superb personal control and relaxes
                  Up the TSF! :snooker:

                        • Am I being unfair to think McManus beating Carter would be something of an upset?

I like McManus though, so I'm not complaining

now the pressure is firmly back on McManus to get over the finish line...

I think that would be the general consencus, but I like seeing Alan come through. Never liked watching Carter...he can be just far too negative when things aren't going his way. Not a joy to watch I'm afraid.

                              Nice break though

I don't mind either coming through, fan of both
an upset? in my mind no not really - better player on the day won
