That's what I mean. How did he manage that with his game?

      • Good win for Ding. He struggled in the last two sessions but never lost his composure. I think he is mentally ready to win this Championship, he just needs to raise his game on the table a bit. I would definitely make him favourite against Williams. Although Williams didn't play any worse than Ding in his match, he has a habit of bottling big matches in recent times, and this is a great chance for him to really do something... I am worried he will succumb to the pressure.

It's interesting, six players already through to the quarter-finals, and Kyren Wilson is the only player who has managed to win a major tournament this season. Higgins will probably join him, and possibly O'Sullivan as well, but the others haven't won anything significant over the past year.

Ding didn't look confident and looked exhausted at the end of last night. I would find it very hard to see him going all the way as he would have to beat Williams then probably Higgins followed by Selby or ROS. Not saying it isn't possible but I think it is highly unlikely.
Well, I can just about see him beating Williams, but I can't imagine him making any further progress ... That said, I'm bound to be proved wrong (as usual).

Now, if he was willing to accept creative criticism over the years... Then he may have taken his game to the 'next level' by now. But no, he just expected to dominate and not work on bettering and refining his game to max potential in every area. That's what real true gritty dominant world champs do see juddy boy.

If anyone seen him on 'my crucible' you'll see why he hasn't improved none. It's like he sees nothing wrong with his game and feels hes the best, so it doesnt really matter... He has very high thoughts of himself. But cant see the wood for the tree's.. Soon as someone says something about his game he says stuff like... Err, it's no worse than anyone elses.
Yes Judd, yes it is.... Lol
He's more than just an exhibition player but I agree with most of what you're saying, spoilt, arrogant, petulant brat is basically what he is, needs knocking down a peg or two!

              Disappointing attitude there IMHO...
I just heard Judd on the radio talking about the match, he kept referring to Ding as a "kid" which came across as patronising and petulant. Don't think he's making many new friends with this attitude, and he may well be loosing a few old ones. Not impr4essed.

                  Exactly.

I'll be pleasantly amazed if Barry pulls this off tonight. C'MON BAZ!!

                      • Hawkins will need a better run of the ball than he's having so far this evening if he's to stand any chance of a win. Its such an annoying game snooker, so often the game is decided by who gets the crucial run of the ball, especially between two top players.

Press conference of Judd. Doesn't seem that bad, but then he is answering a question does he think Ding can win it. He's just giving an honest answer. Really don't think there is a lot in this. Hendry has said far worse about players yet nobody ever criticised him. Just seems like its Judd bashing time on here.
