He won the Masters. Since when is winning the Masters "doing very little"?

    • Well, did not expect that, well played McManus! Now I hope him to make the final.
The run of balls for Hawkins in last couple frames is incredible, but the blue Marco missed, he can only blame himself, if he is going to lose. Second blue he should have not missed, the other one in 16th frame.

*two qualifiers in the semifinals facing each other, I think this might be kinda rare, anyone?

Yes Fu has pretty much bottled it a couple of times. He has a tendency to do so though. I can still see this one going all the way!

        • Amazing, maybe even more surprising than when Steve Davis beat Higgins in 2010.

          • McManus won, then? Brilliant! Now if someone can send Selby packing it'll be great.

I agree in the form, but you can´t hardly say that Maguire, Carter and Higgins are a good draw. He could have got easier ones.

Yes! Brilliant indeed. So happy for him. Completely at a loss who to root for in the semi...Ding or McManus.

I was going to agree with you but he works really hard at the game and he's a great competitor.

                      • It' been incredible viewing today lads eh!!
McManus played superb against Higgins from start to finish. The first session yesterday morning he played immensely well and carried it on today. It's a wonderful story and I for one really hope he makes the final now. I've been keeping tabs on Fu and Barry's match too. What a game that has been also. I'll need to watch it all on youtube later.

                        • Lovely post-match interview with McManus on Eurosport. Sadly the schedule may work against. He's first out tomorrow against a fresh Ding and then an early start on Friday as well. But who knows. I would dearly love to see him lift the title. It would be the ultimate in snooker faitytales. Anyone know what his pre-tournament odds were?

                          • Fu scrapes through in the end. I don't think there is a more relieved person on the face of the earth!

Well done to both players. What a match!

Now on to the other semi it is for me
