  • Dodgy cushions ruined that one for me

    • Really hope Ding wins the final. I don't know what it is, but I just can't deal with Selby. Only my opinion, but he seems to drag out frames, get up and down on shots, critical moment toilet breaks. I guess this is what makes him a good match player, but for me personally not a great advert for world number 1.

      • Ding has got to win the final. Would be devastated if Selby wins it again.

        • Selby winning on penalty points...

The haters will have a field day with this one.

          • Towards the end of that frame, after Fu tried to snooker Selby on the brown, from the snooker he was in, Selby came to the table and played away from the brown, but I didn't hear the ref call touching ball. I saw both him and Selby looking closely, but I kept rewinding and couldn't hear the ref call touching ball.

It clearly must have been, but it really surprised me when Selby just played away down the table.

            • I probably missed a referee's call but can someone tell me why Mark could move away from brown ball after Fu's last foul on the blue ? It couldn't be touching ball on the brown could it ?

Well yes apparantly it was touching ball.

                  Not just me then?

                  • Anybody feeling it's just going to be Selby slowing it all down and sucking the life out of Ding and the final and winning fairly comfortably, that's my best guess.

                    • It was a bit wierd, looked like a free ball as well, didn't hear anything about that either.

                      • Yep that's his game plan. Just hope Ding doesnt lose his head.

I hope not, but I know what you mean. Ding's the type of player who won't handle such tactics well. I can see myself disliking Selby by the end of Monday night, even more than I do now.

It's going to be one of those rare occasions where I'm hoping for a very one-sided match. Ding has got a good 7 hours rest on Selby, so that's one thing in his favour.

                          • One plus is that Ding now has Terry.

And one minus is that he'll have the expectations of about 600,000,000 Chinese on his shoulders.

                              • If ding can keep scoring as he is and don't let Selby grind him down he should be OK.
