  • This does show the power of mental strength in the game doesn't it. Ding looks beat really, Selby looks like a man who knows he will win over this length and format.

I think drivel is unfair. I don't like the way he plays and find him a very uninspiring world number 1. It doest mean I can't comment. That slow walk back to his corner to wipe his cue before the important blue was just another example. Maybe I pick up on it more, I dunno. Granted he has far more mental strength than Ding and will walk this. I don't think he is negative per say, more somebody who thrives on breaking up games and knocking opponents off kilter. He is a perfect match player no doubt.

        • I stopped watching Snooker after Selby won the title last time, I got back at watching snooker this tournament, but Selby is driving me away again.
Yes, I'm a hater, can't stand how he sucks out the life of his opponents.

So stay away then...what have you come back for if you can't enjoy a good snooker match.

                Don't worry I will.
I know I'm a lousy fan, I know nobody cares, just needed to express my frustrations somewhere, sorry to bother you.

                • Ronnie's out...Selby's in the Final...you can put your money on all sorts of haters coming out of the woodwork...as they do each time Selby is in the Final...once again.

                  • So 6-2 then. Good. Now there is still tension in this final.

Tbf Selby had it easy getting to the final (no disrespect to Milkin, Baird, Wilson & Fu) compare to Ding draws..

This is very true, but it's so very hard not to get spiteful and bitter when one of your favourite players is getting hammered by such a dullard.

Yes not too bad of a result in view of Selby's heavy scoring today. Well done Ding for keeping focused.

                            • 6-2 not too bad for Ding then. Good job it's not 8-0 that would really sting for Ding.

                              • Here's to a good final, 6-2 is not much of a lead with first to 18, I think that Mark Williams 6 frames behind at 13-7 v Stevens. We have seen plenty of matches where the momentum shifts suddenly from one player to another.

Just want to say something about Mark Selby though. I think he fully deserves his number 1 status - he is incredibly difficult to beat. Each time he has been asked questions in this tournament he has responded, when Baird came from 11-7 to 11-11, against a very in-form Wilson in QFs and with Fu staying with him for the entire match. You generally get what you deserve and if his play was as one dimensional as some are suggesting how come he is in the final while the other 'more talented' players aren't?
