I like and appreciate a player that knows his way around the table and is not just a potter. It's what the game is about. Being a solid all round match player is what i like in a player, But Selby is soooo difficult to watch at times aye!
I appreciate complete players, but Selby just drags his heels and tries to ruin a players momentum at any turn. For me, this is NOT what snooker is about, but sadly, it would looks like he'll get his 2nd title this evening

like i said before all you have to do is beat him, if you cant cope with his tactics then you aint good enough
Not really enjoying this final, many frames have been tedious and too long. Ding hit century after century in his last match and now he's been dragged into a defensive battle against the grinder Selby. Hope Ding wins this, really can't stand the thought of Selby becoming champion with his style of play.
Oh dear if you think this - you wouldn't have enjoyed snooker in the 70s and 80s thats for certain. If you like cricket you probably only like 20:20 and think Test cricket is too long.
Absolutely and if anyone was in any doubt about how Selby plays and what his tactics are then, watch frame 15 from last night.
Really don't get why some people complain about Selbys decision to play on here. He wasn't that far behind and it was totally right to play on, especially if you have a safety game like he has and considering that frame was a really important one psychologically. And it nearly paid because he came pretty close to steal it.
lets hope Ding gets off to a good start today, and if Selby starts that slowing down and ruining frames tactics again ill turn over,
and i hope he doesnt wear that stupid looking grey suit again! bloody awful!
I think Selby's music is probably the most fitting of any walk on music in any sport. The line goes, "gonna keep you up all, gonna keep you up all, gonna keep you up all night"! Song is eez-eh by Kasabian.

It all fits in with the Leicester thing, but the only big difference is that Kasabian are entertaining!

So much refrencing one players approach to the game, and talk of turning over.
It's snooker ffs.
There's more than one way to play it, and it would be a poorer game if we only allowed technical ability ,
and not a combination of that and mind games, to contribute to the outcome. IMHO
and while I appreciate everyone has a right to post whatever they like on an open forum, quite what is to
be achieved by saying you'll turn over is beyond me.
The haters will not need to know others are thinking of turning, and the rest of the viewers won't turn over because
someone has posted their intention to do so. .

It's not the fact that he played on, as he's entitled to do that, it's his soul aim to upset the player's momentum. More and more people are coming to terms with this and his tactics and it's NOT a brand of snooker that I want to watch or promote
