I swear I am not just being anti-Selby here but I don't think his should have been shot of the tournament. It looked great because of where it landed by the black but he couldn't have predicted that. Don't get me wrong, it was a great shot, but the three ball plants were better
Another touching tribute to Steve Davis and I need to buy a VHS player again so I can start recording all the mid session pieces the BBC make. Isn't it ironic that one of the most poker faced players turns out to be an emotional guy. I loved how he spoke of his dad's highest break being 58 and Steve talked him through every shot and the picture of him and his dad with two Rotties. I had Rotties and they are wonderful dogs.
The level of Snooker over the last few days has been the best I've ever seen and I actually like the longer frames where the players are having to call on everything in their armoury to win. The one break frames are good to watch but not very dramatic.
Agree with everything you just said.Proves the winner has the best all round game, not just the best break builder.
Steve Davis should be knighted, the only snooker related person I feel who deserves one.

Couldn't agree more about Steve being knighted - I can never understand how other sportsmen get these honours after winning a couple of titles, Steve and also Stephen Hendry have had careers that have lasted decades with dozens of titles!
Winner of Crucible 77's 2009 World Championship Lucky Dip.
It would be fitting of Ding can make another century after this one...he would break Henry's record and it would also be the record 87th in this year WC.
